City of Hull Youth Symphony Orchestra
Main Hall in the Albemarle Music Centre
The Youth Orchestra consists of string, woodwind, brass and percussion players from grade 5 ABRSM standard. The ensemble play a wide variety of orchestral music and perform once each term in the City Hall. Entry is by audition.
The orchestra is conducted by Mr C Maynard and Mr N McEwen and rehearses on Friday evenings from 7.00 until 9.30 in the main hall of the Albemarle Music Centre. Tutors for the Youth Orchestra are Mr N Willoughby - first violins, Mr C Maynard - second violins, Mr D Wright - violas, Ms C Nolan - cellos, Mr P Lusvardi - double-basses, Mrs D McMillan - woodwind, Mr N McEwen - brass, and Mr M King - percussion.
