Hull Young Musicians' Friends Association

         If you would like to be more closely involved with these young musicians, the Friends’ Association would like to hear from you. 

    The aim of the Association is to raise money for the benefit of all the Youth Orchestras, Bands and Choirs which meet weekly at the Albemarle Music Centre, Anlaby Park Road South, Hull.  The money raised is used to buy music or instruments as required, as well as helping to finance foreign tours.  There are many fundraising events throughout the year and extra help is always needed.

    Here is a list of where the money has been spent recently: £2350 Brass & Percussion Instruments; £2000 Music for various ensembles; £320 Music Stands

    Annual membership now runs from 1st September to 31st August in line with the school year.  The subscription is only £6.00 (minimum) per family per year [current members can extend their subscription to 31st August 2009 for a minimum of £4.00], and members are entitled to discounts at various shops throughout Hull.  Members are also entitled to purchase discounted tickets for all Music Service concerts at the City Hall and as a special bonus, Leisure Services have agreed to sell main hall tickets for the Master’s Series Concerts at a reduced rate to holders of current membership cards.  Please complete and return the form if you wish to become a member.
